Beautiful Black Ghost Knife fish. I was going to buy one the other day, however I was advised by the store they were very difficult to keep, and even the store had a hard time keeping them healthy.

I would love to get one, but I have my Oscar in my 100 and I fear he would pick on it and kill it. What do you think?

my two are quite easy keepers, sensitive to water change/temps, not agressive at all but they're both about 4 inches. I'm growing them out and then they're going into a 125 with my JD, assuming Bob doesn't decide to take them apart piece by piece

My Oscar is about 6-7 inches long and he is about a year old. I have him in a 100 gallon tank. I also have a 60 with African Mbunas a 30 with RAMS, a 20 with Convicts, a 10 with the usual Mollies,Pplatys and Tetras, a 20 with Guppies and Endler Guppies and a 10 with pure Endlers. Where do you think I might be able to put him?

In their own 29 or 40B until they're about 6 or 10 inches depending on which and then see if they can go with your oscar I'd guess...best plan is always to get them their own tanks

Out of what you've got though the rams would probably be best

Last one I kept grew from under 3" to 14" in about a year. In a 29 gal tank.
