Are they good or bad. As in, peaceful or aggressive. The "expert" said they are fine and will not bother anyone. Do these really grow up to 10 inches?
If so, I wonder how long it will take. The problem I have is that they are in a 45 with a school of neons and shrimps. Hope I didn't make a mistake on them.

From LiveAquaria, "In smaller community tanks the Chinese Algae Eater will defend its territory. This species of algae eater can become aggressive when they become full grown."

What kind of shrimp?

I have one in my African Mbuna tank, and it holds its own against the cichlids. But other than that it does not bother anyone in terms of aggression. But, it is only a year old... maybe it will when it gets older.
