I've seen Aiptasia survive on live rock out of the water for almost a week. It did rain that week. Had the right person observed that we could have had a new religion on our hands!Water.
Do you have a specific anemone in mind? The requirements are all over the place.
Generally with the commonly kept hosting anemones (BTA, LTA, Carpet, Sebae, etc.) you require high lighting, excellent water quality and whatever the special requirement of that anemone may be (for instance, sand for LTA's). But the range can be quite wide past there. Tube and Rock Anemones which are less light-dependent and more food-dependent. Technically speaking I guess the completely other end of the scale would be Aiptasia, which doesn't require anything at all in order for it to thrive (seriously, trying to kill the stuff makes it thrive :laugh.
Don't you mean "bumble along"?http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/inverts/cnidaria/anthozoa/anemones.htm - More information then you probably ever wanted to know. But it'll help narrow down what you are looking for.
Not sure how to interpret "bumble-looking", but I'll take a guess at Bubble-Tip Anemone (BTA, RBTA).

Pretty sure there are a few people on this forum keeping them so look around some of the build threads if you want to see examples of setups. Or they may stumble along here eventually and comment.
