Breeding for profit maybe? I am currently selling fish to my lfs and have only owned fish for about 6 weeks.

Aquarium building
fish and tank caretaker (for rich peoples homes)
That one guy that has connections and can get any fish for you because he has connections (when he really just goes to live aquaria and aquabid and you just don't realize it lol)

I stole a few of these careers from what some people on AC have mentioned they do for a living...

Retail sales at a chain store.

Online tropical plant seller.

Breeder.

Marine Biologist (along with a ton of school)

Aquarium building/setup/maintenance.

Aquatic Photographer

Scuba Diving Instructor

Really, there's an endless list of careers that fishkeeping has the potential to be the inspiration for.

Fish Breeder, Aquatic Livestock Seller, Aquarium Maintainer (originally tank, but then I realized that could go different ways), Aquatic Specialist, Aquatic/Marine Biologist, Fish Store Owner (me someday I hope maybe), Navy (oddly enough it was fish that led me to investigate the navy lol), anything related to fish, water, or both. :)

In my career I worked in a lfs first in the fish room and then in dry good sales, worked on a tropical fish farm, went back to working at a lfs (this time doing sales, management, and installations and maintenance, and now work in R&D for a major aquarium and aquarium product manufacturer.

It will never be a high paying profession but it can be a good one with the right education and contacts.
