So i was at my LFS today to get some platys and a couple otos. They have a 100 gal tank for people who bring in giant fish. They had two giant silver arowanas in there. They were about a foot to a foot and a half long. Biggest i have ever seen.

They're still relatively small. The biggest I've seen at a LFS was close to 30".

When I was a kid my favorite lfs had a 90 gal display with an honest 3' Silver and a Fire Eel that was just about as long. Both fish would eat nightcrawlers from your hand.

Ya, for silver aro's those guys are still small. There was a fish store in Canada that I went to that had an arowana that was just over 3ft long. If you came too close to the tank, it would charge at you!

Too bad it's eye is perm looking down. They should toss some ping pong balls or something else that floats in there to keep them looking up
