First off, I know they differ by location. But how far off is the "Geno"?

Can a Orange/Red Top Hongi breed with a Yellow Top Hongi. And would this be considered cross-breeding? Not sure if they are both Hongi or if I have one Hongi (SRT). The Yellow top one maintains a lilac color with egg spots on the anal fin, while the Orange/Red top stays more a deep purple and only really lighten up to the lilac color when the Yellow top is around.
Just wondering!

It can be easier if you can show us some pics; but I have to tell you that almost all mbuna species can crossbreed with any other one, more easily if they belong to the same genus.

Here is a video of the two in queestion. the Red top one maintains a darker color in the body, its deep purple most of the time but he can color up to the light lilac color. The Yellow top one keeps his color lilac all the time.

Sorry but from the video I'm not sure if they are Red Top Hongi. The ones I have seen are brighter red on top and even on part of the face and chest.
