Hi Everyone - my first post....
I have a 110 litre tank with angels, tetras etc and its been going for about 6 months or so - however even though the tank isn't in direct sun, lights are on for about 15 hours I keep getting this brown coating on the bottom on the gravel. You can pick it up in pieces, bit like skin on custard.
Is this a chemical problem, too much light, too much something else - its driving me made (and my 3 year old grandson who says grandad's fish are dirty - not good)
Thanks
Ken

generally you want to keep your tank light on for 8-10 hours max 12. 15 is probably too much light. i dont think its bc your tank is new since its 6 months old but it does sound like diatoms.
