so I'm moving my stock in my 40 to a 29 (which is uncycled). the plan is to ent out all fish from the 40 and move them and their (well-established sunsun canister) over to the 29g. My thinking is that this should not result in any spikes.
initially in the 29 there will be:
2 male guppies
1 male dwarf gourami
3 harlequin rasboras
5 cherry barbs
1 large male platy
1 male highfin german blue ram
eventually in the 29g I'd like to end up with:
2-4 male guppies
male dwarf gourami
male platy (he doesnt play nice with other platies, so he won't be getting any friends of his own species)
5 harlequin rasboras
5 cherry barbs
6 kuhli loaches (have a sand bottom in the tank just for them)
male german blue ram
in the 40g I'm thinking:
single angel
8 (or more?) black skirt tetras
pair or trio (m/f or m/2f) bolivian rams
smaller pleco (snowball, bristlenose, rubberlip all possibilities)
5 or so cories
both tanks will be filtered by a sunsun canister filter, the 40g may eventually have 2, and both are well planted. should these stock levels work?
