Well I'm looking to see what kind of filter you guy/gals suggest for a 55g tank?

If you have a 55g what filter or filters do you use?

Also what other equipment are you using? (Ex. powerhead)

I have a penguin 350 hob and an aquatop CF400 with uv canister filters on my 55.

I like canisters..specifically Marineland "C" Series.

I'm keeping freshwater fish. I'm a fan of canisters too. I've never tried Marineland canisters. I have a rena filstar xp3 and have had no problems with that for years.

The Aquatop service reps are excellent and the price can't be beat. I have had mine for 10 months and no problems.

I run an AC70 and a api nexx canister. I love the aquaclear, but I feel like the nexx is a bit of a rip off. The pump seems kind of weak to me, and you don't save any money by having to buy the api media for it.
