From Fluval 404 to Rena Filstar XP3

Well after lengthy struggles with the 404's impeller cover popping off and losing prime, I have taken the plunge and ordered a Rema API Filstar XP3. I hope I'm going to be happy with it on my 75g. I'm also running a Marineland Emperor 400 and a Magnum HOT 250, both of which may become redundant when the XP3 arrives. What do you guys think?

    75g Freshwater Tank (48 x 18 x 20)
    Fluval 404 + Marineland HOT 250 Magnum + Marineland Emperor 400B Filters
    2 x 300W Heaters
Brown gravel, Plastic + some live plants, Large rock and wood decorations
    2 x 24" 24W Aqua-Glo tubes 14hr/day
    Fish - Semi Aggressive

I made the same switch with my 75 tall and am quite happy with it! I would consider keeping one of your other filters too as there is no such thing as too much filtration. I added a small Eheim filter since the tank is heavily planted and I had a dead spot.

Yes it does, but only a handful (I think six?). Not enough to fill up the basket, but it's not all that necessary anyways I guess.

I think I may buy some Seachem Matrix, not sure. What would you let about a litre go for?

Approx a liter's worth comes out to 50 stars. Assuming you're in the US, I can do $16 shipped. These are new and unused.

Sounds good. I think I'll need about 25. But how much to send to Ontario Canada?

I'll look into it, but I can't imagine the shipping will be that much higher to Canada.I'll get back to you with a price for 25.
