I'm looking for a general opinion out there. I have a empty 75gal tank in my basement that is calling for some new friends. In this tank I want to use pots for my plants, but hide them using rock and driftwood.

I work walking distance from Lake Erie, and have access to all sorts of driftwood. I have found some fairly massive pieces of smooth well worn pieces. I'm also seeing some that are more textured (for lack of a better word).

here's what I'm looking at adding...

The stump is well worn and smoothed out. I can see the second piece with all sorts of java moss growing across it.

Looks good to me. Maybe a quick boiling water bath just to be on the safe side with bacteria etc.

You may have an issue with floating, especially the piece in the first pic.
