Hi!
I am on my way to my first Malawi Mbuna setup and I was wondering on which subsrate is best for them.
I got a big bag of regular 'silver sand' from the LFS. However, after looking at pic's on the net of other setups (just looking for ideas) I noticed that alot of people use the white marine sand in their Malawi set-ups.
I think this stuff looks fantastic, and my research has pointed out that this type of substrate can help to buffer the water. What worries me though is making the tank too light/bright for the fish. Will the fish hide and lose colour?
