Sump question, not a noob, just don't know

I picked up a 125 and everything I need for salt. It was a salt tank, just taken down and sold. My question is I have 3 sumps with 3 overflows (1 eshopps dual chamber and 2 eshopps single chambers). The big sump I will use for my main and I was curious if putting the protein skimmer in a separate sump with another return pump would work? Any thoughts?

I would connect the two sumps via a crossover pipe a couple of inches below your anticipated running level. That way you only have one sump to worry about, so to speak, at least as far as evaporation is concerned. Do you have the skimmer yet?

Completely agree. You would need to top off both sumps. That way you are only dealing with one return pump.

    Congrats on the new tank!
