    Sulawesi Shrimp and Snails.

ok so i'm in the process of setting up a tank for sulawesi shrimp and sails, now while i have a hand on most thing i still have a few questions.

    1. what species of Tylo's can inter breed (i would like to have 2-3 species but don't want them inter breeding)
    2. What species of Sulawesi shrimp can interbreed (again saim reason as above)
    3. which species eat plants (i would like to keep plant seeing as i've always had planted tanks)
    4. what are the easiest beginner species of the tylo's and shrimp?

    thanks for any help

and this is the beginning of the tank that i posted on another thread here, still need some work and then i need to run it for a while to get a good biofilm before i add anything lol

my 30 (defunct) & 4 gallon planted tanks (defunct)
20 gallon metal Rimmed (taken down 5/11/10)
the Viv's (Crested, Leopard Gecko and Malaysian cat Gecko)

I have a yellow tylo snail she doesn't touch my plants my other the tiger tylo munchies on my plants a lot lol both off these have been breeding & have gave me a white with gold spots, so I would think they do inter breed.

For Shrimp Malawa is a easy and hardy Sulawesi shrimp. They aren't super colorful tho. The ones I have are clear with black markings.

Mac: No, it's not a joke! You remember Genesis? Book two, verse three: And he breatheth into the nostrils of Adam on the first day and it was good.
Dee: Right in his nostrils, huh? Sounds really uncomfortable.

most of the shrimps can interbreed if kept in a confined space like an aquarium. as for the snails, that information is still in need of scientific data. as they are still very new to the hobby, and not much is really known about them yet.

Poso Mini yellow will eat some plants but mostly gnosh on Decaying plant matter, Poso Orange like certain plants Swords in particular, White spots eat mostly decaying matter but will gnosh on Live plants on occasion. Tiger lilies (green and Red) seem to be a favorite of all types of Poso in my tanks. the Mini Yellows don't seem to interbreed with my Oranges or White spots. in over 16 months I have spotted no weird Crossbreeds lots of little mini yellows, 1 or 2 Oranges, and no White spots as of yet but it is a densely planted 75G. Apotegens and Criniums they do not lile the taste of and seem to avoid even the decaying leaves until they turn completely brown, DHG they all gnoshed on it for a bit then I guess got distracted, Dwarf baby Tears they also ignored. Seems hit or miss which they will destroy and which they will ignore.
I have no sulawesi shrimp so you need to depend on others for that info.
