Hey

Looking to redo my tank via addimg more plants. Want to have some kind of moss on the bottom. Was thinking of putting hemianthus callitrichoides. something to give it that carpet moss look.

I know this type requires highlighting but does my tank with 29 gallons in a 17 watt light have enough 2 supply this plant? if not what plant would be good to create this feel?

The short answer is...no...

You may want to do some research on lighting requirements. 17W in a 29G is not even low-light by most standards. HC is a high-light plant.

I've tried growing low-light plants in a 20H with a 17W tube...even Java moss and hornwort died eventually. A 29 is deeper (taller) and longer than a 20H, so that's going to be even less available light.

Java moss might be worth trying, especially if the tank gets light other than the single 17w tube.
