TKS for all the replies. Am scared I am gonna goof up something when doing water changes or just general maintenance. The water always gets cloudy but the fish seem to be happy. Eating me out of house and home.
The cloudiness is probably from excess food or waste in the tank.
These guys are messy eaters and can cause some cloudiness.
It might help to try some new filter media like purigen to help pull some of these things out of the water.
If they are healthy, then this may not be needed.

TKS for the ideas but what I did was get two 14in bubble bars and covered them with lava rock. The tank is clear now. My crawdads seem to like the lava rocks with the air. They keep crawling over them.
