:) HELLO EVERYONE!!!!! I'm excited to be a new member. I am a first time breeder and actually in need of any advice I can get I have 2 longfin danios that I am hoping to mate I just set up a breeding box. I am wondering when I should add them. I know the female is full of eggs so I hoping for fertilized eggs. If anyone has Any advice I would be so thankful. Please help! :feedback:

I've never bred danios myself, but I have read about breeding them in a tank with a layer of marbles or screening that allows the eggs to fall through, but keeps the parents from eating the eggs. You will need to remove the parents to a different tank once the eggs are laid. I don't think they will breed in one of those little breeder boxes.

It's usually a little easier to try livebearers (mollies, platies, guppies) for your first babies, but danios are supposed to be pretty easy too.

Welcome to AC!
