Hey Subrosa. I'm getting ready to start a 20 long small reef tank. I don't have anything yet for it. Can these survive in a bare tank (with reef mix of course) until I get some sand and rock?

Do you have any cheap live rock? Cheap base rock?

I do have some live rock from the same tank. It has definitely has Shrooms on it, and I believe it also has some Zoas, but unfortunately there are also Majano Anemones. I hope to clear them over the weekend, at which point I'll let you know what I have. These corals are very hardy and as long as the tank is properly cycled and you have suitable lighting they shouldn't be difficult to keep in a bare tank.

Thank you. I'll be interested in anything less desirable since I don't have a big budget for this... but it being a 20L it's not going to be very high tech anyway. I do have appropriate lighting and a filter. Just need to get a stand built for the tank.

This wasn't something I was in a hurry to do, but if you have anything that's too good of a deal to pass up for a newb. I'll get the ball rolling quicker on everything.
