So instead or getting a 30 gallon, I'm turning my old 20 gallon brackish into a saltwater tank.

I'll get 2 ocellaris clownfish
2 red spotted gobies
2 black seahorses
1 barnacle blenny
1 condy anemone
some corals
1 nassarius snail
1 banded coral shrimp
1 emerald crab

is this too much?

seahorses aren't really compatible with reef tanks and best kept in species only setups. If you want an anemone for clowns to host a condy isn't it they don't host clowns and are known to eat fish. Bubble Tip is what you'd want if you want the clowns hosted.

No seahorses in that tank! +1 to the bubble tip over the condy.

Change the occelaris clownfish to a mated pair tomato clowns
and the condy to a rose bubble tip
and take out the seahorses
add a fancy brittle sea star

Tomato clownfish will probably out grow a 20 gallon if they aren't too big already :(

Have you thought about a pair of black and white ocelaris clownfish?

They get to big for a 20g, Red Sea clowns can get over 5". Percula and Occelaris are really the only good choices for 20g. Maybe a single Barberi if its a 20 long.

Definitely do not put a tomato in a 20 gallon. It will get too big and even if it didn't, it will kill anything else you try and add to that size tank.
