thanks doll
these still require a lot of work and they definitely don't like cooler water..set temp to 80 and they started stressing so I bumped it up a bit to 82-84...

I'll be messing with the camera later today and try to get some better pic.s these don't show the coloration on their shoulders very well.

they love flake food and get black worms and blood worms at night.

they are currently still in a 75 , just the 6 altums.

No pairs..and yes they are very difficult to breed.
they are also relatively slower to mature compared to Scalare.
I heard it can take 2 years or more to mature to a breeding age.
they tend to school more too and get along much better compared to scalare.

Nice work Star- the ventrals look nice and long :)

I picked up 22 altums late in August- 8 Atabapos and 14 Iniridias. I lost 7 of the smallest Iniridas between weeks 3 and 6 but none of the larger Atabapos. They are still in Q and have been moved up from the 4.3 pH I started them to their current pH of 6.0. I have held steady at 15 fish for a couple of weeks now. Ultimately most will go into a 150 with my 6 larger ones.
