I recently picked up a Dwarf Lionfish who doesn't seem to want to eat frozen
food. He only wants the Ghost feeder shrimp. I really don't have a problem
with this because my Porcupinefish likes them too. I also enjoy watching the
"hunt." It's probably good for them anyway to feel like they are still in the
wild.

Anyway, Earlier this week I threw 3 in and I never saw them get eaten. I
assumed that they would be found at some point. Yesterday, when I was cleaning
out the filter sock I found 2 that where still alive! This gave me an idea, so I
picked up a cheap "breeder basket" at Petco that allows water through. I
mounted some suction cups to it and stuck it to the inside of my sump just below
the water line. I also got a 1" net to fish them out. I have about 22-25
shrimp in there now. Is this ok? Will they live in there? Does this pose
pollution danger to the tank? Do I need to feed them or is there enough algae
in the water?

I'd give them algae wafers or shrimp pellets, otherwise they're likely to prey on one another in confined spaces.

Tough to say, about a dozen or so different shrimp species are sold as ghost shrimp, being they lived for a few days already they're probably one of the 100% marine species, just a question of how aggressive they'll be to one another in a confined space. I'd also toss in a little bit of chaeto or other macro and a little bit of rock rubble.
