I have purchased shrimp( amanos and RCS) from a pet store and they were kept with fish being treated for ICH. THe shrimp are fine and have been in my QT tank for 8 days. I know shrimp are not the usual host to the ich and I did not pour the pet store water into my tank. How long can the ick live without a host and when would you introduce the shrimp into my 50 G planted/ fish tank - would you still wait a few weeks?
