OMG OMG OMG. so i bailed on buying a 75 gallon off of craigslist, i settled for this instead.

Its 5ft, by 20inch, by 20inch i think. Either way, its roughly 100 gallons and its amazing!!!! It came with a stand, 50lbs of black sand, decor, a fluval 406, glass hood and lights, plus 2 boxes of stuff for it and all of its decor, delivered 40 miles to my appt. For $280. Im pretty happy.

I still want to do a syno lucipinnis species tank, however Im open to Tanganyikan ideas for this tank as a possible replacement.

It was a joke lol. I paid a little more for it but i can definitely justify the purchase. I just layed down a layer of black paint on the back and am laying down the second coat in a few minutes.

I think that a group of kilesa would be really cool but itd cost more than the syno cats. And they dont live as long.

All of the dirt settled last night. Ive got a fluval 405, and 2 hagen 70s as my filtration and that water is turnin real fast. Ive got two heaters and the lights ran on my RKL system so that theyre all automated and the water temp remains accurate to a .1 of a degree.

I'll post pics shortly. Also, im kinda sold on buying a group of Cyathopharynx Furcifer/Faoi. They use all parts of the tank and are flashy and theyre social interactions look like they are definitely worth a species tank.

So, I ended up getting 4 more firemouths so that maybe i can find a female for my male. Once I get a pair of firemouths im going to try to get a pair of brichardi established in the opposite end of the tank. Im thinking that if I put alot of hiding spots in each end of the tank, planted on one side, and rocky on the other with an open area between them both and only light the sides and leave the middle dark it would hopefully discourage them from leaving their territories. And I think that 2 large firemouths could hold off brichardi, because they get pretty intense during brooding.
