So my cousin had a 29gal SW water tank a while back and he said he would give me everything he had for $90-$100. That includes lights, sand, tank, and rocks(all dead now ). The lights arent good for corals and i would need to but a filter for it. But i already have LED lights and i could buy an aquaclear 110 and a pump. I believe this is a score but i would like your opinions! :)

This is standard 29g aquarium not a cube?
I break it down like this if you were buying new
$33 29g aquarium from petco $1 sale
$20arag dry/dead sand per 20lbs bag
$2-$3 a pound for dry rock

Assuming he's got a good 30lbs+ rock its not a bad deal, if extras are included like circulation pumps, heater, nonexpired additives are included that makes it a lot sweeter deal.

It will also take some work to reuse the old rock if it was just left out to die/dry an acid bath would be a good idea.

Yeah, i need to see what else he has. He just told me that he had all those things but i figure either way its a sweet deal. I was originally gonna try a 20gal tank but 29gal is bigger and i dont mind having to acid wash the rocks. Its less expensive than buying rocks. Once i find out more on what he has and what im getting, ill let you know. Oh it also comes with the stand which is an added bonus
