I've seen spawned eggs in my tank twice now and didn't know who was laying them. Today, in my hazy water, I saw them actively spawning on my filter tube. About an hour later, the eggs were consumed by their parents.

I'm not trying to breed angels, but will this spawning/eating hurt their health? They are in a community tank. All fish are behaving normally otherwise (feeding etc.).

They can become quite territorial and downright mean when spawning. I have had fish severely injured from spawning angels. So just keep an eye on the level of aggression in the tank. All you may notice is that all the other fish are on one side of the tank while the angels are on the other!
