Maybe this question should be for the Newbie section, but I thought I should ask the bottom feeder crowd. I have had my 33 gal tank up and running for a month now with;
2 Blue gourmis
5 silver dollars
Everything is going well and now I would like to add a clean up crew. What and how many shoud I add? Do pl*cos and cories just eat algea or do they eat fish waste too? Do you need to supplement their diet with algea pellets?

Thanks ;)

cories and many loaches will clean up the bottom of uneaten food.....

you do need to supplement their diet, to ensure they are getting ENOUGH....

try a group of cories, maybe 4\5.......

try this link for species info.....

i have 2 peppered cories....very cool...

do you know silver dollars get big -- 6"ish....... maybe better off trading them for something a little small.....

barbs maybe??

tiger pleco's (also known as clown pleco's I believe) are cute fish that hide a lot. You have to have wood for them but when it comes to algea control there are better species to go for. They do eat algea but they arn't algea eating machines like some others
like brisle noses.

Would a tiger pl*co and a bristle nose get along in a 33 Gal tank. I really liked the tiger the lfs just received.
