Finally found a betta I like. Here he is in the cup, since I took a picture to show the wife. He's extremely active, and apparently didn't like the bacopa in particular corner, because he kept messing with it until it uprooted.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the picture doesn't do him justice. Dragonscale, so his blues are almost iridescent, and his dorsal fin has speckles of darker blue through the lighter blue. I'll eventually take a picture of the 10 he currently has all to his lonesome, ugly pink castle (my daughters' love it) and all.
Yeah. As active as he is, he'd be doing a dozen laps at a time in that cup. The only thing he does that worries me is that he likes to hang out right next to the heater, like he gets behind the heater to hang out.
My female bettas do that all the time. They're real touchy-feely fish and seem to press up against and mash themselves through things all the time. Kind of cat-like
Some of them like to lurk. Mine sometimes hides right underneath plants and wood in tiny crevices and makes me freak out because I'm afraid he's jumped out.
Yeah, he's good at hiding. Sometimes, I can't find him, start to panic about him jumping, and then, when I start my second sweep, he's at the top of the tank looking at me. :irked:
