I have 2 questions.
1.when I gravel vac my gravel do I need to be moving my rocks and driftwood?
2.is this filter placement OK? They're right beside each other BC the slot I cut out of the screen is on that side and I don't want to cut out another.

You don't need to move the rocks and driftwood every time. Stuff will collect under there and rot, but it shouldn't be too bad. And the filters are fine. not optimal, but fine. I'd throw some sponges on those intakes to help keep the innards of the filters cleaner for longer

I have one of my filters kind of like that on my SW tank, so it should be fine. When I gravel vac, I don't move stuff every time, but when I start to notice stuff near the pieces, then I move them a little to clean up there.

See I could move the driftwood but I wouldn't want to mess up my rock piles
