I haven't been on here in a while, but I have some good news (for me at least). I was at an estate sale my mom dragged me to, and she found a really nice cabinet and tank we're getting. The cabinet was built with a matching set of bookshelves to house this tank. It's an odd size, calculated at just over 80 gallons. The rough measurements from the outside of the tank are 48"L x 13"W x 31"H. I already have 4 or 5 yellow calvus that I've had for years that will be going in, but I have to fill up the rest. My rough thoughts are the calvus, some julies, shellies, and another species or two. What do you guys think?

With that tall of a tank I think some Cyps would be a good addition to roam the top areas. Although a 4 foot tank is about the minimum for them so I'd recommend non-jumbos.

I'm a huge fan of the julie/shellie combo too.

I was really thinking about cyps too. It's not the best footprint for any 80+, but it's a good setup and probably the only way I can get a tank this size. Any other ideas?

Maybe I could do shellies on the left, a rock pile in the middle and xenos on the right.

Basically its a tall 55gal theme so be careful on how many rock dwelling species you put in, the size you indicated is a 90gal tall I have the 110gal tall 48x18x30.. Paracyps would be nice as a mid to top water fish.. Calvus, Julies and another species would be fine.. Glad your back..
