So my electric yellow cichlids have been doing quite well and my dominant male has been flirting with the females A LOT. But they don't seem interested. Why is this? Is there anything I can do to get them interested?

They all seem to be afraid of him in a way that whenever he is near they try to avoid him by swimming away.

No there are females. Once in a while they show him some love but he is just mean. He like shakes in front of them and then they rib against him until he bites them :). Maybe they could all just be males though... Its hard to tell unless you vent them.

Sounds natural for typical Mbuna, they shake and shimmy and rough house the females..
