Step six: Pump installed, plant and drift wood placed

Step seven: Fish! I doubt you can see them but there are three tetras in there.
Step eight: buy frog. That will take a few more weeks until I can find the time.

Frigging awesome. The bird adds a nice tropical touch. Is it a 10g? And what kind of frog?

Firebellies secrete a poison from their skin. I'd take the fish out if you go with them.

Which cement did you use? I thought about going this route for my latest tank but wasn't sure if A) how it would work out and B) if I would have the patience for all the curing time haha

I am aware of the fire belly toad toxins and am just keeping the tetras in there for the sake of the filter getting established.

I just bought regular cement from the hardware store but I will warn anybody that tries this that it took a very very long time for the concrete to stop leaching into the water and raising the pH up to almost 10. I am talking months. This whole thing started in May lol. Once I had started I was committed but I might do it again someday.

Ah ok, it sounded like you were going to keep them in there. How many frogs are you getting?
I have one that was dumped on me, hes still kicking despite the horrible care he was given for over a year.

Also is that a green cheeked conure?
