Another sick fish, this time a corry Cat. Cloudy eyes, spots etc...


Should I set up the qtank, take the hob off main tank and treat with meds?

I'm trying to load the video, so you can see


can you see this? is this fungus? I mhave been losing rummynose tetras the last couple days but everyone else seemed fine

I woke to a dead angel and a visibly sick rummynose, my whole tank is sick, angels are hiddled in the corner pecking at eachother.

I dosed the whole tank with thos in desparation after failing to catch the sick rummy

Are you posting about the same tank as the original poster?

Was the tank cycled? Was anything quarantined? Where were the fish purchased?

Yeah somehow I got 2 accounts.

The fish came fron an auction and 2 lfs, my test readings are always the same. I'm starting to think my test kit is defective. Api masterkit. The tank is a heavly planted dirt covered with sts.

Everything was fine untill I brought in the 6 rummynose, down to 1 now

Everything was new and I didnt have a qtank, just the main tank but I recently set up a qtank to treat the sick corry cat but this morning the main tank

was sick too so I dosed it with the microblift stuff :-(

How old is the test kit and what is the expiration dates? Have you tried testing against standards/calibrating at all just to double check?

It's certainly possible to get faulty tests, but keep in mind that water parameters are not the only reason why a fish may become infected. I can't see it very well, so it's hard for me to tell what's going on in the video...
