Hello all,

I'm going to be purchasing a 90G tank very shortly and have settled on T5 HO lighting. I plan to buy a 4 bulb fixture to support the plant load.

My questions:
-Can anyone provide recommendations on the fixture? I've seen a lot of cheap things out there such as fishneedit.com which I got from a recommendation on another forum and I'm considering something along those lines, but I'm attracted to something a bit more high end as well such as the 4 fixture Aquatic Life here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0030VD4OU...UTF8&colid=1O3SAZKOEV429&coliid=IWBF1E2NU9SWS. Again, would love your recommendations on the fixture!
-I had been planning on two 1000K and two 6500K bulbs in tandem. I'm pretty sure from all my research that this is a good consensus, but can't hurt to double check. Bulb brand recos also welcome (heard great things about Geisemann).

Thanks everyone! Just joined this board today, very exciting

I run Fishneedit t5 ho they are pretty good lights with reflectors for individual bulb(single reflectors) they also have external ballasts and long cords the bigger 48" fixture has dual power cords so you can connect each ballast to different timers.

what were you looking for high end? LED with the HO?

There's this: http://www.aquatraders.com/48-inch-4x54W-T5-Aquarium-Light-Fixture-p/52305p.htm

Not trying to complicate things, but the LEDs might be something you want to think about. I recently went from T5HO to LED and I'm impressed so far. If you're planning on T5HO quad lighting, you're going to need a heavily planted tank probably with pressurized CO2 or your going to end up with an algae farm - just my two cents - YMMV
