I have a 7x2x2 210 gallon tank that I now have 10 frontosas, 2 silver dollars and a Senegal bichir in. Some of these fish range from over 2 years( 2of them maybe) to slightly over a year. I started out with about 17 and I have lost all 7 to them jumping to their deaths!
I know that its not uncommon for frontosa to jump, because they are skiddish, but this is heartbreaking and ridiculous. I thought I had solved the problem a couple of months ago by building a wooden canopy but today I opened it to a dead fish on the glass centerbrace... I don't know what to do anymore. My water parameters are all good(0 ammonia, 0 mirrored and a max of about 40 nitrates) and I have plenty of filtration. I never see any full on fighting, just little tussels here and there... Does anybody have any ideas on what I can do? Because at this rate I song have any frontosa in 5 years
