I'm still in the planning stages, but I'm putting together a zen-style aquascape. I'm messing around with a few different ideas for the tank. The idea that I like most is one which consists of three interlocking cylinders. In feng-shui, the circle represents wholeness and eternity and this is a motif that I would like to repeat throughout the tank. The idea for the interlocking cylinders stems from my idea for the aquascape. A circle of sand surrounded by Hemianthus callitrichoides in the front and taller plants in the back. In the center of the circles would be: an unzan stone, a piece of driftwood, and in the center circle driftwood and another stone.

The diameter of the each cylinder will be 24" though due to the intersecting nature of them, the total length of the tank is actually 64". Height will be 20".

Now for my questions

- Is this even feasible?
- I've never had a cylinder tank, anyone with experience willing to share their thoughts on tank distortion? How annoying is it? Is it distracting enough that it would destroy the view of the scaping?
- C02 dispersal, will the fact that the cylinders will create chokepoints (albeit wide ones) affect how well the C02 moves around the tank?
- Water flow/current, will parts of the tank become too stagnant or will the flow be able to make its way around?

I've attached a pic of the 3d model and here's the link if you want to check it out in Google Sketchup. http://www.mediafire.com/?lmqdjzqxx4slcqb
