I thought that this would be cool to share with everyone. It's always nice to see private aquarium keepers credited for something good for once(Instead of dumping fish into lakes, etc.)

http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/nature/post/fish-on-brink-of-extinction-gets-boost-thanks-to-zoo/

"Hundreds of private aquarium owners, fish collectors, and scientists reached out to the zoo’s aquarium curator, Brian Zimmerman, offering up advice and support. One response happened to be a tip from a farm and business owner in Madagascar who had seen the fish in a secluded northern Madagascan town."

Hopefully their breeding efforts will bear fruit and they can get this species back up from the brink.

Lmao! Did you read some of the comments on that article? Jeez people really are dumb saying its the fishes fault for their own extinction. I couldnt stop laughing at those comments. But if those cichlids make a come back i wouldnt mind trying them. They are ugly but i love how the ugly suits them :D
