Need advice on t-5 ho 54 watt bulbs. What combination of bulbs would you suggest? This is for a high light planted tank. Would like the K's and the brand...Thank you.

Color temp isn't everything, but most go with 6500K for freshwater plants. Given it's a 54watt, I assume these are 48" lamps?

IMO, any of the name-brand lamps are great. I even like my inexpensive Odyssea T5HO's that you can mail-order inexpensively.

I need 4 bulbs, two can be 6500K, what would you suggest for the other two?

I use Phillips 80W/865 T5HO bulbs which are more pleasing to me over my tank than the Giesemann midday bulbs which have a more yellow tone to them. In the past I mixed Midday with 10000K to try to avoid the yellow. They should make the Phillips in 54w and I think they are more affordable than aquarium specific bulbs, should be easier to find not to many places carry 80w.
