Did I set this box filter right?

Hi guys,

Want to get more fish soon. So I put AquaClear Media in a box filter in my current tank in order to seed it for my quarantine tank. Did I set this box filter right?

The water inlet is on top right? If so you've got it backward. Mechanical (sponge) should be first (on top).

Yep, just reverse that media Patty. Good call on how to instantly cycle a QT by the way! Cheap sponge bubbler filters are a cheap and super simple way to do this too.

I think my box filters have the water inlet on the bottom, any holes on the top are normally so it doesn't fill with air.

If it's seeing for a QT tank, I'd just leave it as is, so long as water if flowing, you're likely to be looking for biological filtration more than anything, so just getting water through it is the key.
