P. maxillaris with internal bleeding?

We came home from watching the Super Bowl with the family and saw one of my x ray tetra with what looks like internal bleeding around the abdomin and swelling on the right side. He is swimming well and eating and seems unaffected by this issue. The girl friend did some research and the only thing we could come up with is outside influence (i.e. external injury caused by hitting hard scape, abuse by tank mates) Nicole is looking right now with the hand lenz and saw scratches around where the bleeding starts. Want to get everyone's opinion on what this is.

thanks for the reply Star. He is going on day three of this affliction. i believe you are right about the bruising I am just hope it isnt one of those cases where the little guy ends up dead by the end the week. keeping my fingers crossed and a watchful eye.
