I'm thinking about adding a few to my African pikes, they'd all eventually go into a planted 220 gal tank.
It's stated in many resources online as well as books that they nibble on plants, but I am trying to get _first hand_ insight from people who have actually kept them in a (more or less planted) tank. I understand that they avoid some hardier plants and devour delicate macrophytes, just interested in examples. Anyone feed them lettuce?
Also, temperament. Again, lots is said online but I want to hear from _you_. I am concerned that many folks re-state the same info, which may go back to just a couple of fish, while those hobbyists who are happy with the fish never post their delight. Thus, I appreciate your thoughts. Be it happy or not - let me know how your Distichodus behave(d).
Are they better solo or schooling?
