Hi All,
Just wanted to offer the opportunity to buy some of my home-grown plants to anyone who's going to be at the NEC convention this coming weekend. Here's some of what I'm offering:
Bacopa monnieri 'Fake Crenata' $1/stem
Brazilian Pennywort (Hydrocotyle leucocephala)* $2/bunch
Lindernia grandiflora $.75/stem
Poaceae sp. 'purple bamboo' $1/stem
Oldenlandia salzmannii $.50/stem
Persicaria praetermissa $1/stem
Ranunculus inundatus $.75/node
Red Temple (Alternanthera reineckii 'cardinalis') $2.50/bunch
Rotala rotundifolia 'Singapore' $2/rooted portion
Misc. sword plant babies $2–3 each (E. x 'Altlandsberg', E. ozelot...I think, maybe some others)
Mossy Plants:
Java moss* $1/golfball
Willow Moss $4/golfball
Sußwassertang* $5/portion
Pond Plants (rootstock):
Variegated sweet flag $5/plant
Floating Plants:
Duckweed (Lemna & Landoltia): FREE
*Plants marked by an asterisk were grown in submersed culture and may contain snails. The rest are from emersed tubs and should be snail-free.
I'll be at my club table (CAPE—CT Aquatic Plant Enthusiasts) on Saturday from 11am–4pm if you want to pick up any plants there (or see what else I brought; there are plenty of odds and ends I only have enough for a bag or two of that I'm not bothering to list here), or you can flag me down anytime on Friday... anything that doesn't sell is going in the Sunday auction.
Also available are seeds from a handful of aquatic plants, if you want to try growing some emersed plants from seed just for kicks. Small portions of a handful of species (Persicaria and Ammannia among them) will be available for between $.25–.50 a packet.
