Flowerhorn newbie

Hello everyone!
This is aditya from India.It's my first post here!excited!
Coming to the point,I have bought a new flowerhorn of size approx 2.5 inches.He's my darling!I mean he's a beautiful really very beautiful but he's kind of shy type.He doesn't follow my hand he hides behind the filter when I go near the tank.Please tell me how can I make him more active?please help me,I'm getting worried!
Any kind of help will be appreciated!

He's in 23 gallon tank and he is with a small pleco.My fh doesn't even look at pleco and that's the good thing!

I tried adding an albino short body flowerhorn but he didn't resist him even for an hour!he's very aggressive.I don't think I can add any tankmates with him

No worries I have a 55 gallon tank.As soon as he will reach 4-5 inches in size,I will add him in the bigger one

And what should I do to make him like a puppy??should I keep him without food for a day or so?
