Hey guys I have 2 angel fish in my 56 gallon tank I've had them since late February and I was wondering how I would tell if I have a breeding pair or not or how to sex them or if it's to early to be able to tell.

I know a group if 4+ is recommended but I've never had a problem with just keeping two.

Their behaviour toward each other is often the best guide when the fish are juvenile. As they mature, the breeding tubes will be more noticeable and the female's is thicker than the male's.

You may have had luck with just two previously, but this is not guaranteed, especially if both are males.
