The title say it all!
I Had an empty 10 gallon tank that had been sitting around for a couple months I my garage. I finally decided to put it to use. I filled it with a sand bottom some plants and 6 guppies (3 male 3 female). Yes I am redy for breeding like no tomorrow. I have anther 10 gallon and 29 gallon I can throw the fry in along with my 125 gallon pond. But yea the things bored and a empty tank will lead to!DSC_0330.JPGDSC_0331.JPGDSC_0332.JPGDSC_0334.JPGDSC_0337.JPGDSC_0338.JPGDSC_0339.JPG

Beautiful fish! Beautiful pictures! Beautiful tank, too :) A guppy tank sounds like fun! :)

Is that dwarf hair grass in the front? If so, I've found it spreads faster if you split it up a bit more than you have. More of the grass gets light. Everything looks nice either way.. :) good luck with your future babies!

Cool tank!

I had gotten a 10g GloFish tank to move potentially aggressive GloDanios into, but they settled down after a week or so as the community tank stabilized. So after having the 10g running for about three weeks, I brought some more gambusia back with me and put them in the 10g.

I eventually plan to do a larger species tank with them, and will definitely go the live plant route like you did. What is the larger leafy plant you used, and where did you get it? I haven't found many live plant options locally yet.

Thanks! the large leafy plant with he several round leaves is Moneywort that I got from a friends trimmings also I got some of it from my back yard woods where it grows in a huge field. The plants in the front are Dwarf hair grass and the plants in the back right corner are mondo grass plants

Unnamed box pet store has an aquarium sale going on, so I got a really nice 29g for my future gambusia tank!!! Also happened to find a small packaged bunch of very nice moneywort, so got it started in a 3.7g tank with a betta.

Thanks for the really cool inspiration!

Looks really nice! What type of lighting are you using on this 10g? Is it established filtration you're using? If not, keep a close eye on your water params.
