I gave up, months and months of trying everything to completely get rid of hair algae it's
a battle I can no longer fight. My LFS said try a leaf fish but I told him I'm done. So I rescaped
it today. This algae is stuff to get rid of!!!

The hair algae didn't seem that bad in the first pic (this may give you an idea of how much algae I have in my tanks), but I prefer what you did with the second one.
That looks like a happy betta!

Didn't look too bad but there was always some that I just could not get rid of. I spent every week trying to manually remove it and did everything to stop it from growing but it wouldn't completely go away. I just don't like the way it looks. I don't have it in my other tanks, just this little tank. I blame my LFS for having it in their plant tanks. I confronted them recently and they admitted having had some problems with hair algae... This is a nasty algae.
