Today I bought some tall backround plants for my aquarium. After planting them, it seems that a snail has gotten a free ride to a new home. I hope these pictures can help anyone identify it, because I need to know whether to remove it or keep it (seems to only be eating algae glass).

Thanks

(I'm sorry my phone could not focus but any suggestion is appreciated, he is brown with a spherical shell)

Here's a comparison next to a dime

"Brown with a spherical shell" as in flat and coiled like a spiral? Pics (as stated) aren't very clear, but the middle pic looks like a small ramshorn. The first pic looks like a bladder snail.

Both are harmless, but have the potential to become pests. Some fish eat them. I keep both kinds in my tanks, along with nerites.

Khulis do eat baby snails, which keeps the snail population in check in my 25g community. I used to have a betta who loved to eat baby ramshorns. Not sure whether the spotted cories like escargot, but they dig like crazy in the gravel alongside the khulis.

Ok, I'm 90% sure it's a bladder snail due to the point on the end of its shell. Is this bad? I need to know if I should pick him out.

Here's a higher res pic

Bladders or "apple" snails. They infest but do not cause problems to my knowledge.
