i am in the process of setting this up,

just have some tetras and 1 plant, but i notice the water flow in this thing is pretty high, when i feed, it looks looks like a shaken/swirling snow globe.

i image when i get more plants installed, that will slow down the current, but can i have "too much" water movement in there that could stress the fish?

thanks

The movement being too much, would depend on the fish. Some like still waters and others like fast flowing. You can break up flow with hardscape or create calmer areas.

I keep my Biocube 29 as a freshwater planted and it does great. I do only use one lamp though as with two lamps it was too bright for the plants I keep. I keep mostly crypts.
