so due to ich, i have salt in my water. i don't want to put the plants in the tank until i get the salt out. I've read (and of course read the opposite too) that plants will do bad in the salted water.

can i just float them in a bucket of water for a couple weeks?

they are things like myrio, crypts, star grass, val, javas, moss ball

thanks

Sure. For that matter I don't think the level of salt required for ich treatment would do them any harm either. If you are worried about this though then just plop the plants in a big Tupperware or whatever vessel you have to hand and treat them as you would acclimating fish: every day take out a cup or two of the tap water they are in and replace with a like volume of water from your salty tank. It will give them a chance to make the adjustment over time instead of all at once.
