Bought Tetra EasyStrips 6-in-1 Aquarium Test Strips to test my water and had some happy results but one really surprising one, no chlorine registered. I rechecked it and nope, no chlorine in my tap water (city water, not well water). Should I be concerned? Are the chlorine levels so low they won't register on a strip? Are the strips defective?

Test strips can be fairly inaccurate....a liquid test kit is generally more reliable. Many water systems do not use chlorine..they use chloramine.

All test strips are notorious for being inaccurate. City water has varying levels of chlorine and chloramine. It changes all the time.
