Is this driftwood safe?

I got a little piece of driftwood from a local riverbank it's about 7"x2" and I've been boiling it literally all day and now all the tannins are out of the wood, would it be safe for my plecos to chew on?

well i would think so since i did the same thing but i would wait for someone that knows more about the subject.also what plecos do you have?
